Majority of teens say they spend too much time on cellphones and parents agree

study released by the Pew Research Center found that more than half (54%) of teens worry that they spend too much time using their cell phones. And, in a separate Pew survey. about two-thirds (65%) of parents say that they too worry about their teen spending too much time in in front of screens. But more than a third (36%) of parents agree that they too have problem when it comes to spending too much time with their phones.

ConnectSafely releases The Educator’s Guide to Creativity & Copyright

Whether they’re working in class or at home, students are accessing, viewing, creating, and sharing media as part of their day-to-day academic experiences. All of this is made possible by near ubiquitous access to digital devices and internet in schools and homes. While teachers are conscious of plagiarism when student products are in the form of research papers, the complicated areas of copyright, fair use, and open access creative works (such as Creative Commons or public domain) are less familiar but are just as important. Now that our students are creating and remixing audio, video, text and images to “show what they know” it is essential that they are doing all of this with a clear understanding of their own rights and the rights of other creators or owners of content.

Forget the formulas — pick a TV-size that pleases you

I recently purchased a 55-inch TCL 5- Series 4K TThe distance between the set and my eyes when sitting on the couch is 87 inches, and that’s as far as it can be given the dimensions of the room.
