CNET calls BroadwayHD “Broadway’s Netflix.” Started about three years ago, it’s a service that lets you stream Broadway plays (sometimes from other venues like London’s West End) almost as if you’re in the audience at the theater. Using high quality cameras and grabbing audio from the show’s audio system, the plays look and sound great on PCs, mobile devices and on your TV through Roku, Apple TV or Chromecast.
Don’t expect the latest show. Most are shows that have closed, but there are some great ones like Miss Saigon and 42nd Street along with revived classics like Bye Bye Birdie and Oklahoma.
A subscription costs $9.99 a month or $9.99 a year.
