One of the more interesting products shown off at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show was Dell’s Project Ophelia, a tiny 3-inch thumb drive-like device that turns a TV into an Android powered PC.
You plug the device into an HDMI port of a TV or monitor and the TV becomes an Android computer that you can control with a wireless BlueTooth keyboard and mouse.
Once plugged in you can access Cirtix or VMWare software to use it as a virtual Windows PC or you can simple use Android apps and access data stored in the cloud.
The news is that Ophelia, while not quite ready for prime-time, is being sent to beta testers, according to TechCrunch
Here’s more from CNET and from Dell.
