How to know if your Facebook account was breached

In a blog post, Facebook has disclosed that the previously reported breach affecting 50 million users actually affected 20 million. But the bad news is that they got a lot of information from those folks. Click here and scroll to the bottom of that page to see if you were breached.

The company said that, for 15 million people, attackers accessed: name and contact details (phone number, email, or both, depending on what people had on their profiles).

ForĀ 14 million people, the attackers accessed the same two sets of information, as well as other details people had on their profiles. This included username, gender, locale/language, relationship status, religion, hometown, self-reported current city, birthdate, device types used to access Facebook, education, work, the last 10 places they checked into or were tagged in, website, people or Pages they follow, and the 15 most recent searches. ForĀ 1 million people, the attackers did not access any information.

Facebook will notify those who are affected but you can find out right now by clicking on this link.
